The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) is the independent health and social care regulatory body for Northern Ireland.

In its work, RQIA encourages continuous improvement in the quality of these services through its programme of inspections and reviews.

RQIA has published its draft Public Participation Strategy for consultation. This draft strategy explains how RQIA aims to engage with the public through all aspects of its work, including policy development, inspection and review of health and social care provision, and an evaluation of the quality of services.
