Improving access to mental health services is a top priority, said Health Minister Michael McGimpsey today.

Speaking as he officially opened Aware Defeat Depression’s new premises in Belfast, the Minister acknowledged the important role they play in tackling the public’s perception towards depression.

Funding for all Health and Social Care projects supported by the Children and Young People’s package will continue for another year, said Health and Social Care Minister, Michael McGimpsey today.

The centrally funded Children and Young People’s package supported a wide range of projects distributed through the DHSSPS involving the work of a number of departments, but central funding ended in March this year.
