A breakfast seminar with Joe McCannon, Vice-President of the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (Boston, USA), will take place at the Templeton Hotel, Templepatrick, on Tuesday, 21 October, 2008.
Joe was the lead of the IHI’s successful ‘Saving 100,000 Lives’ campaign and is currently managing its ‘Protecting 5 Million Lives from Medical Harm’ campaign, both of which are recognised as exemplars of large-scale improvement worldwide. In the seminar, entitled ‘Large-Scale Improvement: Lessons Learned’, Joe will share the lessons learned from these campaigns in addition to his involvement with systems throughout the world, including what common leadership skills set are used in successful organisations. Registration is open from 7.45am, breakfast is at 8am, and the seminar commences at 8.30am.
