The Dementia Services Development Centre for Northern Ireland (DSDC-NI) has been established as a branch of the Dementia Services Development Centre, University of Stirling. The centre exists to improve people’s understanding and knowledge of dementia. Our services include consultancy, training and specialist services to organisations in Northern Ireland.

We deliver consultancy in planning and management of dementia care services and in design of buildings for people with dementia, across the statutory and independent sectors. In addition, our associates deliver training and education in all aspects of care for people with dementia, such as understanding and managing behaviour, assistive technology, housing, learning disability, palliative care needs and pain management, learning disability etc.

Our education programme provides a range of options from undergraduate level, and certificate, diploma and MSc qualifications. We also have a range of publications, information and library services.
