Disability Action is the only Northern Ireland-wide pan–disability charity, working with and for people with disabilities. We provide support to people with physical, mental, sensory, hidden and learning disabilities. Through a network of five local offices based throughout Northern Ireland, we provide practical support, information and advice to over 45,000 people every year. We have 85 staff and a network of 250 volunteers located throughout Northern Ireland.

Our purpose is to ensure that people with disabilities attain their full rights as citizens by supporting inclusion, influencing government policy and changing attitudes in partnership with disabled people.

Our services include:

• specialist advice and information on disability issues;

• a fully accessible door–to–door transport service for people with disabilities;

• supporting disabled people in employment;

• supporting young people with disabilities in vocational training;

• providing driver and passenger assessments and driving lessons for people with disabilities.
