 HSC Safety Forum

Organisation: HSC Safety Forum

Description:
The HSC Safety Forum was created in June 2007 and initially funded by DHSSPS:

• to support the implementation of evidence-based interventions known to save lives and reduce harm and the measurement of patient/client safety improvement in Northern Ireland;

• to build capacity, creating a long-term infrastructure (a network) of organisations and individuals focused on improving patient/client safety.

The Forum is chaired by an HSC Trust Chief Executive. We work in partnership with HSC organisations and clinical networks. Forum members include medical directors and senior leaders from all HSC Trusts (except the Ambulance Trust), the HSC Authority, DHSSPS, HSC Boards and HSC Councils. Our work is supported though 2009 by The Health Foundation.
