Description:
In Northern Ireland, Leonard Cheshire Disability campaigns to change negative attitudes towards disability. We provide a range of support services for people with disabilities, which foster and encourage the ethos of independent living. These services include five supported living services in Belfast, L’derry, Banbridge and Lurgan and a resource centre in Omagh.
Campaigning for the civil and human rights of disabled people is also a key activity for the charity. Our breadth of experience in working with and alongside disabled people gives us a unique platform from which to engage in public debate and to campaign on the social policy and civil rights issues that have an impact on disabled people.
